Burujwadi Water Project
The Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Maharashtra alongwith the whole-hearted support from HDFC bank had taken up the responsibility to cater at the doorstep of 1200 villagers across 7 villages cool, drinking water.The project was successfully completed in the year April 2004.
Doodhani Water Project
Village Doodhani at the foothills of Matheran where the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Orgnisation, Maharashtra had undertaken a water project to benefit a population of over 1200 people .
Back in the year 2002, water was scarce and the womenfolk would take 4 hours to and fro for water. There are 40 villages surrounding this village and due to this any positive development in this area would have a positive impact on the neighbouring areas as well.
Kombaltekdi Water Project
November 2003 had indeed brought cheer to the faces of inhabitants of 4 villages of Tarpatti, Kombaltekdi, Maldunge and Satyechiwadi situated about 20km from New Mumbai as piped drinking water reached at their door step.
The youth wing of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Maharashtra with a view to alleviate the suffering of the villagers, took initiatives to provide these villagers with piped water. This project has benefitted more than 1000 people in the villages of Tarpatti, Kombaltekdi, Maldunge and Satyechiwadi.
Kondiachawadi Water Project
Until February 2011, Kondiachawadi, a village near Karjat was a village without any water resource. However the villagers witnessed a very special gift of “Water” from Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Maharashtra & Goa.The project was a joint effort with the corporate house of Mahindra & Mahindra Tractor Division and was completed in a remarkable time span of 10 months benefitting close to 215 villagers.
Palasdhare Water Project
Palasdhare a village close to Karjat, Maharashtra, which has approx 1800 tribals living lacked the drinking water and trudge and had to go 2 km to fetch water.
In the year 2007, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Maharashtra & Goa took up the initiative and installed a pump, uptake pipes to the top of the hill, build an overhead storage tank on the hillock which not only brought drinking water at their doorsteps but also adopted the village and is still providing monthly visits and conducting Narayan Seva, Medical camps and inculcating human values.
Mobile Water Project
In the year 2009, out of the 353 sub-districts, 221 had been declared as drought-hit and scarcity-hit in the state of Maharashtra
- Specialized water tanker with 18,000 litres capacity was engaged in transporting water from nearest possible sources.
- Sources were identified with the help of government.
- Mobile water project met the immediate water needs of the villagers.
- Water supplied to each person - 12 litre/person/day
